Responsibilities
As a Graduate Engineer Trainee at Emerson, you will be responsible for the following:
- Patch Testing:
- Perform System Deviation Report (SDR) testing for Ovation/Ovation Add-On patches
- Install monthly patches and weekly AV installation on Ovation test beds
- Create and deploy Operating System Deployment (OSD) images
- Fill bulletin files for periodic activities
- System Installation:
- Install Windows OS, drivers, and Microsoft patches for Engineering Workstation
- Configure DCS setup including Hardware (Controllers, Basic I/O modules, etc.)
- Install and configure Ovation add-ons: Ovation Process Historian (OPH), OPC, Anti-Virus, etc.
- Additional Responsibilities:
- Participate in lab activities such as lab maintenance and hardware maintenance
- Learn and gain knowledge of DCS and other Emerson products
- Refer to the Technical Guide from Crossroads during project execution
- Continuously develop skills in DCS product components
- Enhance test procedures of executed assignments as required
- Test Ovation releases and add-ons following Test Cycle-Smoke, first pass, & regression testing
- Regularly attend and actively participate in assigned project conference calls
- Maintain product quality testing within the agreed schedule
